The rose season

We are just beginning the Rose season with all sorts of wonderful scents and colours appearing both in the rose garden and throughout the rest of the garden. We started developing our rose collection about five years ago and they are just starting to mature into floriferous specimens.

The Rose of England in the Cloister garden is coming to its best and is one of our favourite old fashioned Roses.

The rose arbor in the Rose garden is just beginning to burst into full flower.

We combine the roses with early flowering bulbs and Peony's to create ground cover and interest earlier in the season. This year the roses especially have thrived with the sunny weather.
